Stand Firm

¹³ But we ought always to thank God for you, brothers and sisters loved by the Lord, because God chose you as firstfruits^[a] to be saved through the sanctifying work of the Spirit and through belief in the truth.

This reminds me of what P Phil used to say a lot during his sermons. Everyday, we have to go to a time of thanksgiving. We have to understand that we are blessed and gifted because God chose US. He chose us to be his "firstfruits". He chose us to spread the Good News. We should not disrespect the opportunity God gave us as His chosen people.
