Daily Reading

For those who need encouragement, accountability, and other inspiration from the Word of God, I will be posting my favorite verse of the day and what I think about it!

9/3
Romans 5:2
"Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God."
9/2
Romans 3:29-30
" Is he the God of the Jews only? is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also:
Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith."

8/31

Isaiah 64:4-5
"When You did awesome things which we did not expect,
You came down, the mountains quaked at Your presence.
For from days of old they have not heard or perceived by ear,
Nor has the eye seen a God besides You,
Who acts in behalf of the one who waits for Him."

I really enjoy this verse because so many times, we want to rush things and we need something now. I struggle with that a lot, but this verse reminds me that I need to be patience because with patience, I can see God work in me and through me.

8/30

Isaiah 62:3
"You will be a crown of splendor in the LORD's hand, a royal diadem in the hand of your God."

This verse really comforts me to know that our God considers each and every one of us precious in his hands and eyes. He doesn’t judge us by our weaknesses or faults, he loves us just the way we are because he made us.

8/29
Isaiah 60:18
"No longer will violence be heard in your land, nor ruin or destruction within your borders, but you will call your walls Salvation and your gates Praise."

I really like this verse because it shows the love and grace of our God. He cares for us and loves us so much that he will free the place we live in from violence and devastation. If we trust him and follow him, we can be in a place of hope, joy, salvation, and so much more!

8/28

"The LORD will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail."
               -Isaiah 58:11
