The Ill One

SoI just had the honor to talk to Ilhwan. He seems to be doing great but he really needs our prayer right now. He hasnt quite been able to find a good solid church that is centered on the Word. Please pray for him!

Quick Report on Harvest

So today I went to the Life Group call-out meeting at Harvest. It was very good. So basically, Life Group is small group but with all different ages within the University of Michigan. They meet every tuesday or wednesday, and they do Bible study, games, activities, and plan other hangouts and stuff. I got to see how life group would run, and its very cozy and welcoming. Everybody here is very interactive, and they welcome any newcomers very well.

On a side note, I asked my roommate, David if he wanted to come out today. He said yes so I was so glad. Except when we went to the church, aka T-center, aka Transformation center, there was a lot of praise and prayer and a short sermon/seminar by the lead pastor. Not knowing this, I was quite shocked since I didn't know if he was prepared for this kind of new experience. He has never been to church before so everything was very new. However, I am sure God put him in that room today for a very specific reason. Whether it was simply to expose him to the Word or to completely transform his life, I don't know. All I know is that I can already see God doing great things in this place like possibly changing the life of my roommate.

Again, thank you to those reading this. David Yim, I hope you are coming up soon. I can't wait to see you. Jon, thanks for the encouraging comments and the video! I listen to it about 10 times a day. Daniel Song, thank you for the beautiful picture. David Kim, I hope college apps aren't killing you so badly. Remember to finish them before thanksgiving break if possible! If USC fails, don't worry. They are missing out on a great student, athlete, and leader. You always have me and Terry at Michigan. For everyone else reading the blog, thank you for taking the time to read this. I am not sure how many times a week I can post something as long as this so don't expect to much. I miss you all, I love you all, and I hope to see you soon!

Good Day!

This really just made my day and possibly the year.

Daily reading!

Job 5:8-9

"But if it were I, I would appeal to God;
I would lay my cause before him.
He performs wonders that cannot be fathomed,
miracles that cannot be counted."

He has done great things! Some news and updates, I tried out a different church today called MichiganCRU, and apparently, Marquette has one, too! I really liked it today, but I still don't know which one I will consistently go out to. Again, to those who are reading this, I miss you all very much and love you all! Hope to see you soon!

School starts...

My first day of school starts tomorrow. I won't lie. I am very excited!!

But at the same time, it is depressing since I know how much work I will have to put in. Please pray for me as the transition will be hard. This will also mean I won't be able to post as much on the blog as I have been, but I will try to post like a simple message like this. I will definitely still post my daily reading so look forward to that! Keep checking the tab at the top!

Thank you everyone! Miss you all!

Daily reading!

I am not sure how many people actually check the daily reading tab above so I'll post todays here.

Romans 2: 11-12

"There will be tribulation and distress for every human being who does evil, the Jew first and also the Greek, 10 but glory and honor and peace for everyone who does good, the Jew first and also the Greek. 11 For God shows no partiality."

I really think this is good since it shows how God will directly change our lives according to how we live. If we live for God, he will give us everything and take care of us. On top of that, he doesn’t care who we are or what background we come from, and I feel that going into college we might have a lot of preconceptions. I personally have some, and I think this verse is saying not to be judgmental since our God is not.

Church!

I just want to say that I attended New Encounter today which was a gathering for new students and transfer students for Harvest. The worship and service was very good in general, and I could really feel the presence of God and exactly how much He loves Ann Arbor. Coming to Ann Arbor, I felt that many people would not care about God or even hate God, but that is not the case. So many people here seem to genuinely love God and truly wants to love and embrace everyone. I will attend the service on Sunday to see if it will be a good fit for me. Sorry, I couldn't get a picture. It didn't feel appropriate.

One prayer request would be for me to find the right church. Whether it is Harvest or not, I will like to find that one church that I can fit into. I do not want to lose my way in honoring and praising God.
