1 John 1:7-9

New International Version (NIV)
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all[a] sin.
If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

Be on the lookout...

Hello all,

I want to just say thank you to all of you who visit this site and read my posts! It is really encouraging to know that people in all places support me!

As a heads up, I have been working on a brand new video from my missions trip to Peru this summer. This video is focused on our team's trip to Macchu Picchu. It should be uploaded in the next couple of days! Be excited!

2 Peter 3:14-15

New Living Translation (NLT)
14 And so, dear friends, while you are waiting for these things to happen, make every effort to be found living peaceful lives that are pure and blameless in his sight.
15 And remember, our Lord’s patience gives people time to be saved. This is what our beloved brother Paul also wrote to you with the wisdom God gave him—

2 Peter 1:5-8

New International Version (NIV)
For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love. For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

1 Peter 5:8-10 ESV

Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world. And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.

1 Peter 3:14-15

New Living Translation (NLT)
14 But even if you suffer for doing what is right, God will reward you for it. So don’t worry or be afraid of their threats. 15 Instead, you must worship Christ as Lord of your life. And if someone asks about your Christian hope, always be ready to explain it.

1 Peter 1:8-9

New International Version (NIV)
Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.

James 2:14-17

Faith Without Works Is Dead

14 What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food, 16 and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and filled,” without giving them the things needed for the body, what good[b] is that? 17 So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.

James 4:6-8 ESV
But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, "God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble." Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.

This is for my Dad. I think it speaks so true for our family and for him. I am so proud to call James Jeong my father after all that he has endured for me and our family. I ask for you to keep in prayer along with your fathers, too. They deserve a little prayer from us for all that they have done.

James 1:2-5

New International Version (NIV)

Trials and Temptations

Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters,[a] whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.

Hebrews 13:7-9

New Life Version (NLV)
Remember your leaders who first spoke God’s Word to you. Think of how they lived, and trust God as they did. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
Do not let the many strange teachings lead you in the wrong way. Our hearts are made strong by God’s loving-favor. Food does not make our hearts strong. Those who obey laws about eating certain foods are not helped by them.

I have a prayer request for couple people here. One is for a fellow brother from church. He has been struggling for the past couple weeks because he is uncertain of his future, and he feels what he wants to do is not what his parents want him to do, and he doesn't feel that God is guiding him. Please pray for him to understand that God is sovereign over all. I won't mention his name just so privacy sake. The second is for my LCG (life change group/ accountability partner). He has been struggling the last few weeks with just a lot things. Balancing schoolwork and other commitments and keeping true to the word and prayer. I ask for you to keep him in your prayers. Again, I won't mention his name for privacy sake. Lastly, I ask for your prayers for my health. A simple prayer will do, but I have had this cold for over about a week now, and it is just another obstacle I have to overcome everyday on top of all the work I have to do.

Hebrews 11:1-3

New Living Translation (NLT)

Great Examples of Faith

11 Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see. Through their faith, the people in days of old earned a good reputation.
By faith we understand that the entire universe was formed at God’s command, that what we now see did not come from anything that can be seen.
