2 Corinthians 8:9

English Standard Version (ESV)
For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you by his poverty might become rich.

All the glory be to God for he gave up his glory for our sake. Praise the Lord!

2 Corinthians 2:14

English Standard Version (ESV)
14 But thanks be to God, who in Christ always leads us in triumphal procession, and through us spreads the fragrance of the knowledge of him everywhere.

Morning Praise!

I was walking to class this morning, and this song came up. I bought this entire album so I never heard this song, but it is so easy to learn. So while walking to class and from class I was just listening to this song, and I couldn't stop myself from singing along. God is good!

1 Corinthians 15:55-57

English Standard Version (ESV)
55 “O death, where is your victory?
O death, where is your sting?”
56 The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

This verse reminds me of this song. What can death and sin really do to us now that we have Jesus Christ?

Korean food!

Thank you mom, dad, and alice for coming all the way up here just to see me! Thank you for all the great food you brought! I really missed you, and it was great to see you!

Worship!

Many of these are songs I posted are sung at Harvest. So the praise band at Harvest is pretty intense. We have 2 acoustic guitars, 2 keyboard, 1 bass guitar, 1 drum, 2 singers. It is truly a blessing to step into the church and worship. The love for God in the building is truly tangible! Praise God!

Daily Reading!

Good Morning everyone! I know I am posting this a little early, but its because I will be spending the entire day with some very special people!!

Also, I'm sure many people have read this or heard it, but its just so powerful I need to post it. It truly is the backbone of our faith, and we can show our love for God by showing this same love to others!

1 Corinthians 13

New International Version (NIV)
13 If I speak in the tongues[a] of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast,[b] but do not have love, I gain nothing.
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10 but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears. 11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. 12 For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.
13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

Dinner...Ann Arbor style...

Yea...that was my dinner...and will be my lunch!

Worship!

I'm sure many have already heard this song on k-love or something but I just have to say that I love hearing this song. When they just cry out "amen", its just so difficult not to shout out with them!
